IWC Schaffhausen partnered with the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) for the fourth time this year to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the Chinese film industry. To demonstrate its passion for filmmaking art, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer hosted an exclusive “For the Love of Cinema” gala dinner at the prestigious Aman at Summer Palace. Among celebrities and VIP guests attending were actresses and IWC brand ambassadors Zhou Xun and Rosamund Pike, and numerous other celebrities, such as Liu Weiqiang and Guan Hu. During the dinner, 94-year-old Chinese actress and film legend Qin Yi was honoured with the IWC Filmmaker Award for her remarkable contributions to Chinese film. On the same day, IWC launched the Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days Edition “Beijing International Film Festival 2016” (Ref. IW510114), which is limited to 50 pieces and dedicated to this year’s BJIFF.
